We caught up with the young chef and asked him for a delightful fast-breaking recipe.

Known for balancing modern and traditional cuisine, it should come as no surprise why Chef Shane opted to share with us the delicious Thai Beef Salad. Read on to find out how to prepare the dish at the convenience of your home


Thai Beef Salad

Ingredients for salad

150g beef sirloin (cut like a square)

1 piece finely sliced lemongrass

1 piece finely sliced shallots

10g coriander

10g mint

1 tablespoon roasted rice

1 piece finely sliced lime leaf

 

Ingredients for beef marinade

2 tablespoons of sweet soy sauce

1 tablespoon of coriander powder

1 tablespoon of chopped garlic

Salt to taste

 

Ingredients for dressing (made a la minute):

½ garlic clove sliced

2 tablespoon lime juice

1 tablespoon fish sauce

1 piece sliced small green chilies

 

Preparation

Marinate the beef with the marinade and grilled it to medium rare. Next, slice the grilled beef and mix with all of the ingredients except the roasted rice. Serve the salad in a bowl and then put the roasted rice on top.
