The Potato Head Family group will launch a new authentic Indonesian dining concept named Kaum Jakarta located in Menteng this May. The new restaurant will offer up some of Indonesia’s rarest and almost-forgotten ingredients and cooking techniques, such as amed sea salt, palm sugar, heirloom rice and coconut oil, all served in a modern and casual setting located in Central Jakarta. Renowned Chef Akira Back recently launched another restaurant called AB Steak, which is located inside the MD Building in Setiabudi. The Korean steakhouse combines American steaks with Korean elements and comes in an elegant black-dominated contemporary setting. Aside from its popular juicy steak dishes, AB Steak restaurant also serves mouthwatering desserts ranging from mochi cake to soufflés.
Guess who’s back? Bottega Ristorante has relocated to a bigger and posher venue in the Fairgrounds SCBD. The restaurant exudes 1920s glam in its neo-vintage indoor setting with greenery sprouting all around its nooks and crannies: perfect for a night out with friends and family. Savoi Ultra Lounge
Nestled in the hip Senopati area, it will be hard to miss Savoi’s flashy neon sign. The ultra-lounge occupies three storeys and features a private suite with a capacity up to 20 people and a karaoke station on the first floor followed by a lounge area on the second, all topped by a rooftop bar with sunken seating areas on the top storey. The latest dining concepts offers healthy fast-food menus—think less calories and less salt— such as burgers, sandwich, rice bowls and desserts. Not only that, Mam Jakarta also offers healthy snacks including potato and sweet potatoes served with four different sauces.
